Issues in Science and Technology
A publication of the National Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Engineering, the Institute of Medicine, and the University of Texas at Dallas
Issues in Science & Technology is a forum for discussion of public policy related to science, engineering, and medicine. Unlike a popular magazine, in which journalists report on the work of experts, or a professional journal, in which experts communicate with colleagues, Issues offers authorities an opportunity to share their insights directly with a broad audience. In collaboration with CPNAS, Issues features the work of artists who deal with the meaning and implications of science, technology, and medicine in creative and thought-provoking ways. This format emphasizes that artists provide an essential perspective on the cultural and personal dimensions of science’s role in society.
