Research Statement
My research combines paleoclimate proxy evidence and climate model simulations to understand the causes of past climate changes and to assess the skill of models in reproducing these changes. Focus areas include perturbations to the freshwater balance of the North Atlantic and to hydroclimate in monsoon Asia and the western US. As a staff member at the World Data Center for Paleoclimatology, I also do some work in information science to organize and describe data.
