Research Statement
After obtaining a Ph.D. from the University of Dortmund, Germany, Anja Hoffmann-Röder worked as an Emmy-Noether Fellow with F. Diederich at the ETH Zurich, Switzerland. In 2005 she started her independent research at the University of Mainz, Germany, on carbohydrate chemistry and was appointed as a Junior professor for Bioorganic Chemistry in 2009. Her main research interests focus on the synthesis of tumor-related glycopeptides and carbohydrate antigen mimics for cancer immunotherapy as well as on fluorinated amphiphilic glycoconjugates for microarray platforms.
