Research Statement
Main research interests cover the bridging of synthesis and catalysis with analytical techniques and combining information technology (multiplexing) with separation techniques, which provide extraordinarily high sample throughputs. The Trapp research group develops high-throughput on-column reaction chromatography and electrophoresis, which integrates separations and reactions in a single step. Recently, mathematical equations were derived which opened the possibility to study in detail catalytic reactions in separation systems.
