Research Interests

I am a computer scientist, and in particular a theoretician, using mathematics in order to explore the power and limitations of computers, as well as to understand other areas and sciences from a computational perspective. My work deals with a broad variety of applications and disciplines, both within and without computer science, such as databases, exact and approximate optimization, artificial intelligence and robotics, networking and information retrieval, and, during the past decade, game theory and evolution theory.
