Research Interests

My research interests are focused on phenomena associated with the unique environment at a surface or interface driven by broken symmetry and reduced dimensionality. Specifically of primary interest is the coupling of the electronic, magnetic and structural properties (static and dynamic) at a surface. During my career I have been involved in the development of novel instrumentation, especially for electron spectroscopy, and its use to illuminate new concepts at surfaces.
