Biosketch
A graduate of MIT with a BS and MS in aeronautical engineering and a PhD in Meteorology. Appointments at MIT (mathematics), University of Chicago (Geophysical Sciences) and the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, now retired.Interests in literature, music (clarinet) and speaks Italian.
Research Interests
Research into the dynamics of ocean currents, their instabilities and the nonlinear development of those instabilities.
