Research Interests

My research interests cover three areas of economics: the theory of aggregate economic growth; the theory of international trade, including international trade policy and analysis of institutions of world trade such as the World Trade Organization; and economic development of less developed countries, particularly India. All three of these areas come together in my recent work on the role of openness to world trade in accelerating economic development and growth.
