Research Interests
My research interests include plant physiological ecology and ecosystem sciences, with special interest in deserts, chaparral, California grasslands, and wet and dry tropical forests; the study of the adaptations of plants to diverse environments from the deserts to the tropics; atmosphere-vegetation interaction and ecosystem functioning of biodiversity; and invasion biology.
