Research Interests

My research interests include: molecular mass spectrometry (MS) and analytical chemistry; identification and structure determination of even large biomolecules (10,000 to 100,000 Da) at the ultratrace level (subattomole); gaseous ion dissociation mechanisms; special MS techniques such as collisional activation, electron capture dissociation, tandem MS, neutralization/reionization MS, electrospray ionization, and Fourier-transform MS; MS instrument computerization; MS spectral library, computer matching of unknown mass spectra, and computer spectral interpretation; applications to research; pharmaceutical metabolite studies; biomedical diagnoses; pollutant and drug identification; and production monitoring.
