Research Interests
My areas of research interest are intrinsic electrical properties of neurons, to include biophysics and pharmacology of sodium and calcium channels and the functional role of neuronal electrorhythmicity; synaptic transmissions and the calcium concentration microdomain concept; distributed cellular ensemble properties of olivo-cerebellar function using single and multiple (up to 90) simultaneous recording probes; thalamo-cortical function at single-cell level using voltage-dependent dyes and two-photon microscopy; and consciousness and non-invasive human magnetoencephalography.
