Research Interests
My primary areas of research are ecology, biogeography, and evolutionary biography, particularly regarding tropical birds on New Guinea and other Pacific islands; applications of these interests to the design of nature reserves; membrane physiology, specifically, the transport of solutes and water across epithelial membranes; and regulation of nutrient absorption by the intestine.
