Research Interests
My research interests are historical ecology, forest community ecology, biogeography, and paleolimnology; paleoecology of the Quaternary Period, especially late-glacial and Holocene environments of the northern United States; methodology of pollen analysis; processes of sedimentation in lakes; long-term ecosystem development and watershed-lake interactions; effects of climatic change on vegetation; and global change.
