Research Interests
In the area of virology we utilize the genome sequences of Influenza A viruses to follow evolutionary time, place, replication in different species and genome changers upon switching species immunoselection. Similarly in oncology we follow evolutionary changes in tumors before and after treatments, genomic heterogeneity, selection pressures, immunoselection. and metastasis . We construct models of viral evolution and cancer development that identify genes under selection and fitness.
