2014 Public Welfare Medal Presented to John E. Porter John E. Porter, former member of Congress, partner in the law firm Hogan Lovells, and chair of Research!America, received the 2014 Public Welfare Medal in recognition of decades of advocacy on behalf of scientific and medical research.
