Research Statement
Andreas Held studied Environmental Sciences at the University of Bayreuth and received his PhD from Westfaelische-Wilhelms-Universitaet M�nster in 2004. He worked as a Postdoctoral researcher at the Technical University Muenchen (Institute of Water Chemistry, Munich, Germany), the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR, Boulder, Colorado, USA), the Department of Meteorology at Stockholm University (MISU, Stockholm, Sweden) and the Leibniz-Institute for Tropospheric Research in Leipzig (Germany). Following a tenure-track position, he is Professor in Atmospheric Chemistry at the University of Bayreuth since 2014. His present research focuses on the study of biosphere-atmosphere interactions, atmospheric aerosol formation, and turbulent aerosol transport.
