Research Statement
I was graduated from Seoul National University College of Medicine in 1992; and had been trained in Graduate School of the same university. In fact, a life-changing moment unexpectedly came to me in 2001 when one of museum faculties asked me to examine a child mummy found in the tombs of Joseon Dynasty. After then on, I have been involved in biomedical works on the human and animal specimens from archaeological sites in South Korea, India, Egypt, Hungary and Philippines. Using various scientific methods, I have tried to reconstruct past history of health and disease of pre-modern people worldwide
