Research Statement

Ernst Hauber is geologist and staff scientist at the DLR Institute of Planetary Research. His main interest is the study of the endogenic and exogenic evolution of planetary surfaces, using remote sensing data. He is currently responsible for the image planning of the camera on ESA`s Mars Express mission, HRSC (High Resolution Stereo Camera), where he leads the Geoscience Working Group. He is Co-Investigator of HRSC and OMEGA on Mars Express, of the BELA laser altimeter on the upcoming BepiColombo mission to Mercury, and of the PanCam experiment on the ExoMars mission.
