Research Statement
Jennifer S. Martinez is a Scientist in the Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies at Los Alamos National Laboratory. She received a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Utah and a Ph.D. in Bioinorganic Chemistry from the University of California Santa Barbara (2002). Jen received a Director�s Funded Postdoctoral Fellowship at Los Alamos National Laboratory to study biosensor development. Beyond developing strategies to assemble divergent nanomaterials, the Martinez group currently develops fluorescent gold and silver nanoclusters utilizing bio- and soft materials-templating strategies. Additionally the group is developing in vivo polymers for regenerative medicine and optoelectronics.
