Research Statement
My core research interest is the neurobiology of social functioning. My preclinical research program focuses on developing novel monkey models of social impairments (including studies of rhesus monkeys that spontaneously exhibit social deficits and common marmosets which are engineered to do so). My clinical research program encompasses biomarker discovery and therapeutic testing in children with autism. I am currently testing whether oxytocin and vasopressin signaling pathways are robust biomarkers of, and treatment targets for, autism.
