Research Statement
I am a marine geochemist and paleoceanographer focused on rapid climate change. My research explores how global climate change (1) has affected ocean nutrient and carbon cycles in the past and (2) will impact ocean acidification and biological responses in the future. I take advantage of geochemical �fingerprints� naturally recorded in shells and corals to reconstruct past ocean conditions. I am currently developing a new area of research focused on ocean acidification in Maine.
