Research Interests

My main research effort has been in the experimental study of superconductivity. Since the discovery of high-temperature superconductors, the different behavior of the thermodynamic and transport properties of the vortex state has attracted my attention. Most of my work in this area has been dedicated to the study of the coherent characteristics of the vortex structure in the liquid-solid phase transition. More recently I have contributed to the design of experiments in which the vortex structure is used as a toy model to study the behavior of elastic lattices deposited in a substrate. I have also devoted a large fraction of my time to the training of young scientists and in the technical development of low-temperature facilities in the laboratory in Bariloche, Argentina.
