Join Us Online for the 162nd Annual Meeting
This year’s Annual Meeting was held from Friday, April 25 through Sunday, April 27. Several sessions and ceremonies were livestreamed and their recordings will be made available on YouTube shortly.
Friday, April 25
Presentation Ceremony — Members and international members elected in 2024 will be introduced to their colleagues in the Academy and sign the “Registry of Membership.”
Saturday, April 26
President’s Address — Marcia McNutt will deliver her annual address to NAS members and guests.
Symposium — This session will explain why the U.S. needs to expand the capacity of its high voltage transmission system. Speakers will present and discuss a number of technical, regulatory and other strategies.
Research Briefings — Six members elected in 2024, representing each of the Academy’s discipline-based Classes, will talk about their research and answer questions from the audience.
Sunday, April 27
Awards Ceremony — Recipients of the 2025 NAS Awards will be honored for their outstanding contributions to science.
